I a multi-disciplined artist, who works across a range of mediums including drawing, painting, design, mixed media, costuming, prop creation, and dance.
I hold a Bachelor of Art Education, and have been teaching professionally via programs and workshops in the visual and creative arts fields for over 28 years.
In 1996 I discovered the world of belly dance and world fusion, which opened up a whole new world of potential for creative expression through dance, movement, costuming, and cross-cultural connection.
My world is one of creative chaos where my art and dance worlds intersect and collide in multiple ways. Both disciplines are influenced by history, literature, mythology, nature, art, and culture.

CREATIVE ARTS WORKSHOPS
I am currently working as an independent freelance art workshop facilitator as well as running arts and crafts workshops for local Councils and my artists collectives. Click below for information on upcoming and past workshops (if I've managed to keep this site updated!)

ARTIST COLLECTIVES
I established Firetail Artists Collective in 2021 alongside fellow creatives Donna Dickson and Casey Maree. Carol Zecevic joined the collective in 2023. The collective provides a platform for us to exhibit our art as well as providing creative workshops and opportunities in the local area. https://www.facebook.com/firetailartists
Against the Tide is a South Coast Artists Collective was originally founded in 2022 by Madison Martin and Amber Bates, and is currently run by Donna from Me and the Sea. Its aim is to provide an opportunity to showcase art and crafts that are inventive, quirky, or different from the norm. Against the Tide exhibits regularly around the Illawarra and you can find several of the artists frequenting the local arts markets.
